Trauma patient care — paramedic level

RM · 8h

Connect trauma assessment with treatment decisions and a transport plan. For paramedics, this module focuses on the reasoning behind actions, evaluating their effects and responding to changes in condition.

Ask about training

From identifying injuries to a plan that matches the patient's condition.

This module focuses on the decisions made by a paramedic caring for an injured patient. It brings clinical assessment, intervention priorities, monitoring and transport planning into a connected course of action.

In scenarios, you explain your choices, evaluate their effects and adjust the plan as the situation changes. We discuss how assessment findings inform decisions and how the team works when tasks must happen in parallel.

The course offers space to examine your own approach and recognise when to change a priority, an intervention or the transport plan.

Training content

  • Clinical assessment and priorities across major injury groups.
  • Selecting pre-hospital interventions within paramedic competencies and evaluating their effect.
  • Monitoring trends, responding to deterioration, transport decisions and continuity of care.

Learning outcomes

  • Participants justify their care plan using injury findings and clinical condition.
  • They adjust interventions and transport plans in response to clinical changes.
